Every solution is available individually. Start with one and add more when you are ready.
Deployed out of the box
Pre-built and ready to run on your own infrastructure, on-premises or in your own cloud, whichever suits your force.
Built on a governance layer
Each solution runs on a shared governance and assurance layer, keeping outputs observable, auditable and defensible. That assurance is essential wherever AI touches the evidential chain.
Solutions across the investigation lifecycle
Our solutions map to the police investigation process, aligned to College of Policing authorised professional practice. Click any solution to see more detail.
Front door
A report comes in, by 999, 101, online or in person at the front counter, and the first investigative steps begin.
Recorded under Home Office Crime Recording Rules and the National Crime Recording Standard.
The THRIVE assessment is applied, threat, harm, risk, investigation, vulnerability and engagement, and the response is graded.
Response
Following the THRIVE assessment, the case is allocated by impact, seriousness and complexity.
Attendance, scene, first accounts, fast-track actions.
Investigation
Lines of enquiry, gathering material, testing hypotheses.
File built and supervisor-reviewed before CPS; CPIA disclosure; record, retain, reveal.
Closure
Outcomes recorded; review, retention and disposal.
Missing persons
Missing persons follow their own authorised professional practice and risk grading.
Supervision and review
The same capability also runs the case file review before CPS. Integrates with the force Records Management System (Athena and Niche). Cadence is configurable to force policy.
Crime data integrity
The HOCR checks run through this thread end to end. The core of HMICFRS crime data integrity scrutiny.

Common questions
Where does Great Wave AI run?
On your own infrastructure, on-premises or in your own cloud, whichever is right for your force. Your data stays under your control.
Can we buy a single solution?
Yes. Every solution is available individually and deploys out of the box. You can start with one and add more over time.
Is it aligned to College of Policing guidance?
Yes. The solutions map to the investigation lifecycle and authorised professional practice, and run on a shared governance and assurance layer that is observable and auditable.
HOCR coding check
Applying the Home Office Counting Rules by hand is slow and error-prone, which creates inconsistent data and compliance risk. Built with the Alan Turing Institute, this applies the Counting Rules to each crime report automatically.
More consistent recording, and more reliable data for planning and resource allocation.
CAD in Records Management System check
Information from command and control (CAD) does not always transfer cleanly into the Records Management System. This checks that all CAD information has reached the RMS and flags anything missing or inconsistent.
THRIVE check
THRIVE assessments are made under time pressure at first contact, so threat, harm, risk and vulnerability can be graded inconsistently. Getting this right is critical: it determines how a call is graded and resourced, including which incidents receive an emergency response.
This reviews the report against the THRIVE model and flags missing or inconsistent indicators, helping ensure the assessment is done correctly every time.
More consistent grading, with vulnerability surfaced earlier.
PNC requirement check
Deciding whether a Police National Computer check is required, and justifying it, is a manual judgement on every case. This determines whether a PNC check is required and drafts the supporting justification for review.
MG11 statement creation
The MG11 is the standard statement form, used for witnesses, victims and any official statement. Writing accounts up into it by hand is slow, repetitive admin. This transcribes the interview and structures it into the MG11 template, in the person's own words, ready for verification.
MG1 file front sheet
A single investigation bundle can run to hundreds of documents: witness statements, exhibits and more. Producing a court-ready MG1 from it by hand is slow, error-prone and hard to keep consistent. This takes the full bundle and builds the MG1 automatically: a chronology of key events, a summary of every witness even across multiple statements, and the legal points to prove.
Proven in live use with The Insolvency Service.
MG series case file creation
A CPS case file is made up of many separate MG forms. We extend the MG1 capability to further forms on an MG form by MG form basis, building the file out one form at a time rather than attempting the whole series at once.
Case file review
Every case file must be reviewed by a supervisor before it goes to the CPS, and reviewing files takes up most of a sergeant's day. This reviews each file to check that procedures have been followed and recorded correctly, ready for sign-off.
HOCR outcome check
At case closure, selecting the correct outcome against Home Office guidance carries real nuance, and inconsistent outcomes are a recurring focus of HMICFRS data integrity inspections. This checks every closed case and confirms the outcome is correct and consistently applied.
Missing person summaries
During a live missing person investigation, the duty inspector has to keep track of a fast-growing set of notes and actions. This gives the inspector a running, up-to-date summary of everything as the case unfolds.
Sergeant reviews
Sergeants spend much of their day on periodic case reviews. This reviews each case to check that procedures have been followed and recorded correctly, on whatever cadence your force sets.
Inspector reviews
Inspectors carry out periodic case reviews on a longer cadence. This reviews each case to check that procedures have been followed and recorded correctly, configurable to your force's intervals.
Crime audits
Auditing investigation quality by hand takes 30 to 60 minutes per crime, so only a small sample of cases is ever audited. This audits investigation quality automatically, so far more cases can be reviewed.
Overtime claims
Checking overtime claims by hand is slow and inconsistent, and the rules are complex, so incorrect payments slip through. This evaluates each claim automatically against the full set of overtime rules, deciding eligibility, the correct rate and the allowable hours.
Vetting interview summary
Writing up vetting interviews is repetitive documentation work. This produces a clear, consistent summary of each interview, ready to be shared with the person being vetted.
Rehabilitation of Offenders checklist
For each vetting case, checking the relevance of previous convictions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act is manual and time-consuming. This automates those checks, helping determine the relevance of previous convictions.
HR query answerer
Routine HR queries eat into the team's time and reduce their capacity for strategic work. This answers common HR questions instantly from the force's own HR policy, freeing the team for more complex tasks.
